State Senator Vincent Fort Endorses Doug

State Senator Vincent Fort (D-Atlanta) announced today that he is endorsing Doug in the 12th District Democratic Primary. Fort, chairman of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Committee on Education, is a professor at Morehouse College. He is serving his fourth term in the State Senate.

"Doug Haines was one of my strongest allies when we fought to pass the nation’s toughest predatory lending law," Fort said today. "I’m proud to stand with a real fighter who puts working families first. As an educator, I’m especially pleased with Doug’s record on education, as well as his proposals to improve our public schools."

In a statement released today, Doug said, "Vincent Fort has a record of fighting for the people behind the issues, both in the classroom and under the Gold Dome. I’m honored to have the support of elected officials like Vincent in my campaign."
