Haines Endorsed by Chair of Legislative Black Caucus

harbisonDoug announced today that he has received the endorsement of State Senator Ed Harbison (D-Columbus). Harbison, chairman of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, has been a State Senator since 1992.

"I’ve known Doug Haines as a legislator and as a community advocate, and there is no more passionate and committed champion for minority interests in the 12th District race," said Harbison. "Max Burns has proven himself to be no more than George Bush's yes-man. I’m proud to throw my support behind a candidate like Doug Haines who is committed to a real change in Washington, DC."

In a statement released today, Doug said, "I’m honored to have the support of Senator Harbison. Leaders like Ed are an example of the best that democracy has to offer. I’m proud to have Senator Harbison’s help in my race for Congress, and I know his friendship and input will prove crucial when I am elected to Congress."

Proud to see Haines with such great endorsements. We need a leader in Congress with a vision for a better Georgia, both black and white.
